Keyboard for Android
A keyboard in the colours of your launcher.
With Phosphor or Hyprtile as your home screen, Keyglow takes the theme you use there: glowing terminal text with Phosphor, tiles with gaps and gradient borders with Hyprtile. Change the theme in the launcher and the keyboard follows.
- 23 languages
- Glide typing
- No internet permission
- RGB backlight
Tap the keys or use your own keyboard. Every key is lit in its own colour and each press sends a ripple across the board. Space fixes a slip, delete right after takes the fix back. A taste of the app, with a tiny word list.
Everything a good keyboard should do
Suggestions, autocorrect and glide typing that learn how you write, on your phone and nowhere else. Then make it yours.
Lighting
- Every key lit from below in its own colour, like an RGB keyboard.
- A wave in your theme's colours, rainbow, breathe or steady, with LED strips along the edges.
- A ripple of light runs out from each key you press.
- With Phosphor, a console panel: a double frame, bracketed cells, a blinking block cursor and a CRT beam.
- Lights hold still when animations are off on your phone.
Typing help
- Suggestions above the keys, next word prediction, and emoji for the word you type.
- Autocorrect: off, mild, normal or strong. Delete right after a fix takes it back.
- Glide typing: slide across the letters, with an optional glide line.
- 23 languages, more than one at a time. The globe key switches the board.
- Learns your own words and which word follows which, on the phone only.
- Your own text shortcuts, such as omw for On my way. Hold a suggestion to never see it again.
Keys and layouts
- QWERTY, QWERTZ, AZERTY, Dvorak and Colemak, or the usual board for each language.
- Letters, symbols, a second symbols page, a number pad and a phone pad.
- Long press a letter for its number and its accents.
- A number row and a terminal row: esc, tab, ctrl, alt and arrows. On by default on a tablet.
- Split keys on a wide screen, one handed mode on a phone.
- Slide on space to move the cursor, hold shift too to select. Slide left from delete to delete words.
Panels
- Emoji with search, groups, recent ones and skin tones.
- Clipboard: what you copied in the last hour, pins, and a paste chip for the newest clip.
- Edit: arrows, select all, copy, cut, paste, undo and redo.
- Incognito: learn nothing until you turn it off.
Your way
- Key height from 48 to 72 dp, label size, long press delay and vibration strength.
- Haptics, no sounds.
- Look over what it learned: your words, shortcuts and blocked words.
- Back up and restore your words as a file.
- TalkBack: every key is its own spoken target. Lift to type.
One look, from home screen to keys
Keyglow is the third app beside the Phosphor and Hyprtile launchers.
A console panel with glowing text on true black, in the Phosphor theme you picked, from amber to matrix to paper.
Tiles with gaps, lit in the gradient of your Hyprtile rice, from hyper to tokyo night.
No launcher of ours? Pick a look and one of 44 themes by hand.
No internet permission. Nothing you type can leave your phone.
Keyglow asks for no permissions at all. The words it learns, your shortcuts and pinned clips sit in its own private files on your phone, and go when you clear them or remove the app. Nothing is learned in password fields, in fields that ask for no learning, or while incognito is on. Clips you do not pin stay in memory only, for an hour.
23 languages
Turn on as many as you write in. Suggestions come from all of them, and each has the board it is usually typed on.

Questions
Do I need Phosphor or Hyprtile?
No. Without them, pick the terminal look or the tiled look and any of the 44 themes in Keyglow's settings. With one of them as your home screen, Keyglow follows its theme by itself.
Can it send what I type anywhere?
No. Keyglow has no internet permission, so Android does not let it reach the network at all.
Where do the learned words go?
Into one private file on your phone. You can look over them, forget any of them, back them up to a file or forget everything at once in the settings.
What does it cost?
2.49 USD or EUR, paid once on Google Play, and 1.49 in many countries. No subscription and no ads.
Why no key sounds?
A sound on every key gets tiring fast. Keyglow uses a soft vibration instead, from off to strong.
Does it work with TalkBack?
Yes. Every key is its own spoken target: touch to hear it, lift to type. Keys are never smaller than 48 dp, and labels fit at 200% text size.
Coming to Google Play
